OBJECTIVE

The aim of the project is to train university students enrolled in health courses at FACSAD (UNISAVE) and postgraduate students in Infectious and Tropical Diseases at UNIBS in the community health approach and in knowledge of the influence of health determinants on the health status of their area, through an integrated and multidisciplinary approach.

MMI ACTIVITIES

MMI, thanks to its deep-rooted presence in the area, plays the fundamental role of coordinator and facilitator between the project's partner organisations, supporting the activities of the Brescia doctors during their presence in Mozambique and collaborating in the practical organisation of all the project’s activities.
MMI also supports the theoretical and practical training activities of FACSAD students within the framework of the Brigadas Móveis, coordinating the students' trips to rural communities in the area of intervention, and assisting and supervising the students during community outreach and health promotion activities.
Lastly, MMI supports the implementation of supervision visits by lecturers and researchers from the Department of Clinical and Experimental Sciences of the University of Brescia.
