MALNUTRITION

In Burkina Faso and in Mozambique, MMI is engaged in actions against malnutrition through programs of prevention, screening, and treatment. 

Medicus Mundi Italia's approach is not limited to treating malnutrition but also includes awareness and training activities to promote healthy and sustainable eating practices, as well as multidisciplinary actions aimed at eliminating hunger, ensuring food security, improving nutrition, and promoting sustainable agriculture. MMI supports the strengthening of the health system in managing malnutrition cases, from the community to health centers, for nutritional recovery. Health centers and health workers are provided by MMI with equipment and materials for anthropometric measurements and educational activities.
