Brief History	The initiative comes within the "Brescia for Mozambique", initiated by Brescia NGOs in 2008, which aimed to create cooperation projects for agricultural, educational, and health care development, for the province of Inhambane. This project is carried out in rural communities of Mongu and Mocodoene, promoting and supporting training, rural animation, maternal and child health and prevention of HIV transmission, exploitation of new energy sources for generating income families and communities.
Project Goal	Implementing knowledge and technical and professional skills Improving the health and economic and population access to electricity in rural areas of Mongu and Mocodoene.
Beneficiaries	For the mother and child halth section: mothers and pregnant women reached by the program of maternal and child health service and care and prevention of vertical transmission of HIV (about 5,000), about 130 technicians among nurses, traditional midwives, community health agents, community leaders and practitioners of traditional medicine, about 100 malnourished children and/or HIV +, 100 participants in the activities of sex education and HIV prevention
Staff	Expatriate Staff: 1 Infectious diseases doctor 1 pediatrician for short-term training Local Staff: Team for maternal-child health (6 nurses) and for HIV transmission prevention (2 doctors e 4 nurses) 12 trainers for village health agents, for midwives, for practitioners of traditional medicine and community leaders team of doctors for sexual and prevention HIV transmission training 1 coordinator 1 administrative consultant 4 auxiliares
